Yes! I agree. Especially airports with no SIDS
There is a slight problem: IFATC rankings get messed up.
Also for go around, the go around instruction should be something super fast to send. To follow it with a heading takes too long on the UI
Explain how the rankings would get messed up? Tap and drag could be used for vectors.
Only radar cettifued controllers have vector traing, so people that only control TGA right now need to be trained again
No necessarily. It wouldn’t be vectors, just a heading to fly after departure to move away from the arrivals and move them towards there destination and then contact departure/approach right after take off
Very awesome idea! Would like to see small features like these added into IF. Voted!
Would that not turn tower into a sort of radar controller? Also would they not need extra training for that if they have not had it already?
It should only allow tower to five heading commands but not altitude.
Guys this isn’t to vector people onto final this is simply just to vector people of the traffic path. This would only be used on takeoff and go around. Hop onto LiveATC or just click on departing planes on FR24 and you will see! ORD would be a great choice to listen to Tower
After you give a go around command with a heading it will show up in your quick command bar on the left side :)
Brilliant idea! I think it would help a lot actually :D
Sadly I don’t have any free votes at this moment, however you have my full support! I hope to see this in the future
Thanks for your kind words! Hopefully a vote frees up soon!
Wow 30 votes, good job :)
Thanks! This is the most I’ve gotten lol
Oh thanks for the Vote man!!!
Cleared a vote for this, is definitely a must for when controlling Tower wherever.
Got my vote. Great idea and the training wouldn’t need to be near as detailed or even really needed to add this feature if its just a heading, plus it doesn’t have to be its own command, it can only be when clearing takeoff/go around is being issued as apart of the prompt.
Good idea, got no votes but I’ll keep track of this topic
