Topic: Downgraded to Lower Grade Due to Speeding Violation - Need Clarification

Hey everyone,

I recently got downgraded from Grade 3 to Grade 2 because of a speeding violation, and I’m trying to understand why. I didn’t receive any level 2 or 3 violations; it was just an overspeed violation while my plane was on autopilot, and I wasn’t nearby to correct it.

Has anyone else experienced a grade drop just for overspeeding? I’d appreciate any insights on how these violations affect grades and if there’s a way to avoid this in the future while using autopilot.

Thanks in advance!

Hello!

The maximum amount of Level 1 violations permitted for Grade 3 are 5 over a 7 day period.

If you have more than 5, you will not be eligible for Grade 3.
In your case, it looks like you’ve received a total of 6 Level 1 violations over the past 7 days.

3 violations on November 9th, and then an additional 3 today - November 14th.
So once those violations you received on November 9th becomes more than 7 days old, you will again be eligible for Grade 3.
