3 SHORT HAUL AND REGIONAL SAUDI FLIGHTS
تحلق حول السعودية
It was great fun out there today! OERK would be my hub for the day and I decided to take the little A319–112 out for 3 short haul and regional spins around Saudi Arabia - it didn’t disappoint. The 3 flights have been split into 10 shots below. After reviewing the screenshots, I felt an overwhelming urge to eat some grilled cheese on toast for some reason!
The seemingly barren deserts that surround King Khalid International Airport, Riyadh aren’t lifeless and flat and still provide a good chance to have a look at what the HD scenery has to offer on various local sandy routes.
It was a case of picking up FlightRadar, find some random real flights under 2 hours to accommodate the A319 and fly them as realistically as possible. Saudi operates aircraft from their A320 family on these routes - A320 and A321 models but I’m sure I’ll be forgiven for using A319 - it’s part of the same family after all.
Thank you to the excellent and seamlessly pro ATC who were there at OERK today (and everywhere at all open airports as always of course).
As always, no hard editing was done to the photos, just some personal preference slight changes to the light and contrast and working with what is available – nothing fake added or taken away.
