TOKYO TO BEIJING - GARUDA INDONESIA VIRTUAL PARTNERED WITH AIR CHINA VIRTUAL
We departed Narita International Airport, Tokyo, Japan bound for Beijing Capital International Airport, Beijing, China filling the sky with 8 of these trusty Boeing 737-79L sporting that wonderful Air China livery. Departing west, we hit the skies as we cruised the width of Japan, through the Sea of Japan and South Korea, over the Yellow Sea and finally down into Beijing with the sound of 16 CFM56-7B24 engines spinning away at 36,000 feet.
Settling into the cruise, some nice views for the lucky window seat holders and the cabin crew looked after all very well regardless of seat allocation. Lots of food was served up today - for appetiser, a Tuna Salad with a light mustard dressing and for main course on the local menu, a choice of Dory Fish with steamed rice and vegetables, Kang Shi Fu noodles, Shrimp Congee or a Spinach Potato Gnocchi Ratatouille on the western menu. What a lovely smell!
It was a nice flight - a bit bumpy at times but nothing that this 14 year old aircraft can’t handle. We all arrived at the destination as planned with many cabins of happy and well fed passengers heading off into the terminal at Beijing.
