TNCM has not Ground frequency, so controllers can’t send “This is not a taxiway”

Hmmm never seen it or maybe I just dont pay attention. But you’d think people would be able to atleast follow a line. Taxiway lighting would eliminate this

It isn’t a taxiway, because it isn’t wide enough for planes to not either touch grass or smash into the gate. The arrow path will save lives.

On expert I’ve never seen this happen. Were you on ts1 when this happened?

Nope i think he meant Expert since he says he flys and controls only on Expert.

People don’t understand that some yellow lines are borders not taxiways

I just flew out of TNCM a few days ago and followed e route with the arrow. Right behind me a grade five taxied along the wrong line. Sad.
I’ve seen way too many people cut through that area. Now only if the people who went through it were actually on the community…

If it were only the yellow lines…I once saw a guy taxiing down a road at JFK. It hurts to say that, but it was on Expert

Saw about 3 aircraft do the same thing not too long ago. Not sure what makes people think it is one, even though it no where nearly resembles a taxiway.

You were controlling TNCM tower? Wow! I thought you stuck to ground!
On the other hand, I constantly see this on all servers with or without ATC, which is pretty sad.

I’ve seen this, and I have seen other controllers get confused about this as well. Its weird because there is no ground frequency, so you cannot request a runway crossing.
So what I usually do is request take off from that point, and tower will either give me a back taxi instruction or a runway crossing command.
