Title: Frequency change / handoff not registering - ATC violations

When I switch from one ATC frequency to another, the change doesn’t actually take effect. The app stays tuned to the previous frequency even though I’ve selected the new one, so I never check in with the next controller and get hit with a violation for not following instructions.

This has happened at least 5 times in the past week. I try switching back and forth between the two frequencies but nothing changes - the active frequency never updates.

Steps to reproduce

1. Be in contact with an active ATC frequency (e.g. Approach).
2. Get handed off / manually select a different frequency (e.g. Tower).
3. The selected frequency doesn’t become active — I stay on the old one.
4. Tapping back and forth between frequencies has no effect.

The available options are from the switched frequency, but the message is going to the old controller.

I think these kinds of issues can be sorted out through an appeal. If a violation from ATC was caused by a technical problem, you can appeal it by messaging @Appeal and following the detailed instructions provided.
