Tips for long flights

Hello lads and ladies of the IF forums, sometimes I go on IF and will do a 3-4 hour flight. (Yes it gets boring constantly changing heading to follow the FPL) I will often takeoff from an airport and make a 3000/4000NM flight plan then I will load the flight plan on the live flight program and allow its autonav feature to follow my plan, this way I can relax whilst I fly. Then about 30-40 mins before landing I will go back to my device and land. I hope this helps you all.

What is the purpose of doing this for you? XP OR TIME

I do it for both.

Image the floating bug point reckage.

If that is the ground slide one then it doesn’t happen if you takeoff and land at the same airport

I’m probably a loser for not knowing this (:P) but there’s autonav?

Are you just flying in circles around the region? Where do you normally do these long flights?

Any region and yes it’s all circles, I will try to do a realistic flight EG MAN-JFK so I will takeoff from JFK pretending it is man then circle for the rough distance and land at JFK

@AR_AR

IIRC you developed the auto nav feature?

Can someone explain in more detail how to do this?

Yes this is correct. Glad to see it’s getting some use.

I put it in Cameron’s LiveFlight Connect application for Windows. Search the forum for the thread with the download link if you want it. :)
