Tip for VOR flight planning

If you don’t know yet, you can use the format (NAVAID)(Degree)(Distance) on skyvector to input a point offset from any navaid (both numbers need to be 3 digits. For example YYC090010 is 10nm east of Calgary VOR.
This can come in pretty handy for thing like avoing restricted airspace.

Note: does not work in Northern Canada because in that area everything switches to true north, but IF doesn’t do that.

This is awesome but is there a way to input these waypoints into IF?

No this is only for VOR navigation which doesn’t use waypoints. It’s just for drawing the route before flying it.
