Tint Over Windows

Hi! I was wontdering. Why do new planes and big/ modern planes have tints over the cockpit windows like the livery? I think it is to match with the livery. But wouldn’t it obscure and make the pilots view a little worse? Or would it make it better because it’s tinted?

It tinted to block out the high amount of sunlight and UV Rays entering the cockpit and cabin

Thanks! Just wanted to know!

In other words, a “bandit mask” or “hood” attracts the UV light from the sun therefore drawing the light away from the actual windows of the cockpit
