Whenever I’m flying and have to leave the app for whatever reason (notification, call, or just accidentally hitting my phone’s back button), the flight I’m on ends up taking more time than it should. It’s more than the few seconds I was away from the app for, it’s been up to 20-30 minutes on long hauls. There’s no visible change in my speed or the clock until I compare my progress to my SimBrief flightplan and see I’m suddenly a few minutes further behind than I was. Does anyone know why this happens/have a way to fix or bypass it?
SimBrief is a flight planner, your flight is a simulation of flight. I’m not exactly sure how these can be compared to each other.
You have to compare apples to apples, not oranges.
If you leave your flight with an ETE Dest of 7 hours and come back with 7.5 hours, that would be weird.
If you’re comparing your actual flight to where SimBrief estimated you would be, that’s an entirely invalid comparison.

If you exit the app, it will resume where you last left off. Simple solution is to not leave the app.
When you exit the app your plane does not advance. So if you accidentally hit the back button you plane is not moving for that time period and appears to take longer.
