You can still fly.
You should control at least once a month.

IFATC controlling can very quickly blow away time, but you can usually fit an overnight and a few short hauls depending on when you want to control.

I prefer the intensity of controlling a busy airport over flying. Some of us, however, manage to balance controlling and flying.
