Third Party VNAV App

Hello everyone, I am coming to you with a new idea for a third party app that I am thinking of developing. I would like to receive your feedback to determine interest in this new app.

One of the most voted feature request is for VNAV, vertical navigation. VNAV - Vertical Navigation This new app would be an enhanced autopilot in which you could preset altitudes at waypoints or coordinates and IF would follow the vertical flight plan set in the app. You would import the altitudes in a graph, similar to this one.

Without the winds of course. The autopilot would also automatically follow ATC instructions and enable APPR at available airports.

Well I think if you are willing to develop an app for IF it’s a great idea and I would definitely buy it to go along side IF. Similarly to what you said people for a long time have been requesting for their to be VNAV in IF and if you are prepared to do it I would 100% support the app.

Great idea! However, you have to be willing to make this with your own resources and have the time and money to develop it.

I completely support this!

(if you want to go a step further, why not make an FMC that can do the VNAV functions you are suggestiong :)
