Please answer it and comment what you think.
If you think it wouldn’t be interesting, please comment why it wouldn’t be interesting, so I would know your opinion for changing some little details.
What it would be?
IAGVA (International Airlines Group Virtual) would be a Virtual Airline offering a lot of hubs such as Madrid (Iberia), London (British Airways), Barcelona (Vueling), Dublin (Aer Lingus), and some others. This Virtual Airline would an oportunity to people who loves flying from lots of cities, but a VA offers a few hubs. IAGVA would offer lots of hubs, so many as airlines there are in!
Which airlines are in IAG?
In IAG group there are 5 principal airlines that are 100% of IAG. Theese are:
Sorry to disappoint but there is already a British Airway VA that is well established and an Iberia Va in the works. This would not be approved because you would be “stealing” the entire route network and fleet of those two aircraft. The IFVARB is pretty strict about that. You also would be taking a few other airlines from being individual VAs from other potential people.
Personal opinion is that I dont agree with any VA starting out as a consortium of multiple airlines. If they start out as individual VAs and the owners of those VAs decide to merge than that is fine but starting a VA that uses all of those is an automatic hard no from me.
Edit: Aer Lingus VA, Norwegian Air Group VA, and Flybe VA’s are already reserved by others also.
