TheAaron's ATC Tracking Thread - [CLOSED]

Hello, I am TheAaron! I am preparing for my IFATC Tests, and am unable to edit my original post due to some time of not being able to play, so my new one is now live. I also take Airport Requests if I am active.

You can tag me if you want for future sessions. Nevertheless I probably can’t make it that often due to my job. But if I have time, I’ll jump by.

Hey, N1850D here. My only feedback is it took you to long to respond to my taxi to parking request. I had to request it twice. Otherwise everything was perfect! I was testing you to see if you sent me around and you did. Hope I see you when in IFATC soon!

Wrong transition altitude please make sure 2500 + airport elevation if your airport elevation is 567ft so after that your transition altitude is 3000ft

Hey man, thx for your service. You did good. There are always things to improve.

  • get yourself familiar with transitions and the respective height. You did well with 3000ft as your airport is 65ft AAL. Later you gave advice for at or above 3500ft to another IFATC member. You should stick to the same value if possible. (And when traffic is following the pattern rules)

  • There was some confusion with other planes changing runways. Due to this you forgot me to clear for 10R. This forced me to execute a G/A.

  • If the traffic patterns are using different speeds and turn angles you should consider a good use of sequences and extend up and downwind if needed to keep separation. This was missed with N1850D. That’s why he cut the line and mixed up your flow.
Sequencing is key to prevent traffic to travel their own routes and styles. As said, extend downwind if absolutely needed.

Everything else was good from my side. Keep it going.

I think 2500ft

2.500 is enough you’re right. If he wants to, he can round up to 3.000 (considering 2.500 for save separation) I personally keep it save as not all pilots stick to pattern altitudes correctly.
