Happy Canada Day! / Bonne fête du Canada !
Attention all: Tuesday, July 1, three of Canada’s major virtual airlines will be coming together to celebrate the 158th birthday of Canada!
Oh Canada! The True North, Strong and Free.
On behalf of all three virtual airlines, we’d like to wish you a very happy Canada Day!
This year, we’re going back to the classic: Toronto (CYYZ / YYZ) (CYTZ / YTZ) will serve as our fly-in hub of the event. Each VA has compiled a list of routes to be flown into either airport, spanning across the entire country.
Join us for an action packed day to celebrate this special occasion! #CanadaDay2025
Will you be attending? Let us know!
NOTE: Signup is not required for this event as gates are not being assigned. However, gate selections will be posted the day of the event for participants to spawn near their preferred group.
The plan for the event is for traffic to arrive into Toronto area airports around the same time. For this event, we plan to have traffic begin to arrive at or around 2025-07-01T16:00:00Z. Please plan accordingly, and depart from your airport, with a planned ETA of 12:00 pm ET.
PLEASE NOTE: Due to limited capacity, we ask all participants at Toronto City Centre Airport (CYTZ) to exercise courtesy, and refrain from taking up parking spaces for too long.
Toronto Lester B. Pearson Int’l and Toronto Billy Bishop (CYYZ / CYTZ) are serving as our main hub for the event. The two airports, situated alongside Lake Ontario, makes for the perfect blend of the heavy traffic, to slow prop action.
Each VA has provided a list of three (3) routes each. They span from coast-to-coast-to-coast, from Beautiful British Columbia, to rugged Newfoundland and Labrador, and the cold north.
Wherever you plan on flying into, we hope you enjoy these two beautiful airports and our country we’re all so lucky to call home!
