This is a very good feature, if this was worked on and actually improved it can help a lot of controllers when controlling a busy featured airport. Something like this second pic here.
I know you can already do this by sending the same message multiple times but if you could sort of add a message yourself it might be really useful for some people. Maybe you can move where the side button is? Let the controllers move them to wherever they want. Something like this third picture over here
Maybe a little off topic but I would love this feature on the pilot side… It would leg callouts less of a distraction when doing pattern work. But yeah I can see how being able to hide it might prevent some mistakes.
