Three days ago, we returned to the Green City in the Sun, and we have spent those three days visiting Nairobi’s many attractions including the Bomas of Kenya, Nairobi Museum, the Maasai Markets, and KICC. Unfortunately, our ten days in Kenya are up, and it is time to move on.
Our flight today is Kenya 484, and we got to the airport at about 10AM after breakfast. Check-in was smooth and quick, which was nice.
We boarded our ride to Dar soon enough. The seats are quite spacious and comfortable, and we have IFE, which is quite nice.
Liftoff from Nai!
Taking a bank towards Tanzania
30 minutes after takeoff, we were served a delicious breakfast of ugali with sukuma wiki (braised kale) and beef sausages, with a fruit salad and yogurt. This was one of my best regional economy class meals, 9/10.
Cruising over Mt. Kilimanjaro, which we will attempt to climb! Wish us luck
Beginning our descent into Dar.

Greasing the landing in DSM!
Deplaning after a short African hop. Overall, a very solid 9/10 for Kenya Airways- food and service was great, crew was really friendly, and the seat was comfortable. We will spend 3 days in Dar, visiting key sites like the National Museum, Village Museum, Kariakoo Market, and relaxing at Coco Beach and gearing up for our climb up Mt. Kilimanjaro. Anyway, that’s all for today’s trip report, see you tomorrow!
