It was Wednesday, February 3rd 2016. Luxair 2930 was parked at a stand getting ready to depart for Rotterdam. The Q400 had took their first order of the Q400 in 2007. 9 years later they had a quite medium sized fleet of them.
The Captain was 38 years old Laura Wazoski. That had been promoted to captain in June of 2014. The first officer was 32 year old James Polk,who had just been hired by luxair just last year in March. Without any delay,luxair 2930 was on its way to Rotterdam. That what they thought atleast..
At 4:52 p.m, Luxair 2930 was cleared for takeoff. However, nor the captain or first officer knew there aircraft was well overweight.. Without checking there aircraft imbalance,they set power for takeoff.
The aircraft had took off,but the cargo and came loose and shifted to the back,causing the aircraft to pitch well over there pitch limit for takeoff.
The aircraft had slammed back into the ground and just a few seconds later banked right and slammed into the houses of Luxembourg, out of the 28 people on this flight, all 28 died including 17 on the ground. This accident was considered the most terrifying worst crash of luxair at the time.
