Hey there IFC.
Well, every since I did the formation flight, I decided to have some fun with a rather hidden & mostly unused aircraft.
Now, I present you..
A KC-10 Extender refueling the Space Shuttle mid air.
This was done in the Shuttle Approach Runway 15 Challenge (Multiplayer).
I have to be honest, this was not an easy task to do.
For the KC-10 Extender, I had to quickly take off from the nearest airport to the NASA Landing Facility (KTTS) and adjust both speed and altitude with the Space Shuttle’s given flight path.
For the Space Shuttle, as there is no thrust and is practically a large glider, I had to keep it under control and to not let it stall during its rapid decent.
I spent more than an hour with at least 20 attempts to get it perfect but eventually, I gave up as my head started to hurt and this was the closest attempt made.
