The Middle Eastern Screenshot Competition (Semifinals in Progress)

Welcome to the Middle Eastern screenshot competition! The Middle East has been known historically as a region of turbulence and war—however, it is also home to some of the most prestigious and classy airlines in the world. Carriers like Saudia, Emirates, and Qatar Airways offer luxurious services to paradisical cities, all with some of the largest route networks in the world. This screenshot competition is meant to bring attention to this region’s airlines, and participants may submit any photos featuring an airline based in a Middle Eastern country.

  • The competition will start once 16 people have registered, and we will have four rounds.
  • Photos will be due at midnight EST, three days after the end of the last round. Voting will last two days.
  • If a participant submits an invalid photo or doesn’t submit any at all, they will be disqualified and their opponent will be advanced to the next round.
  • If both opponents submit a valid photo, the winning photo will be selected by a simple majority.
  • You must submit a new and unique entry for revert round—the same photo may not be used twice.
  • Submissions must include an airliner belonging to a Middle Eastern airline. The definition of a Middle Eastern country will be given below.
  • Each entry must be original and created by the submitting user for this competition.
  • No heavy editing/photoshopping.
  • Submissions are to be sent to me in a private message before the deadline. Late submissions will not be accepted.
  • Participants may request a deadline extension of up to 12 hours by sending me a private message.

Can I do Retro?

Yes! Anything is fair game as long as it’s a middle Eastern airline

Is Kazakhstan fair game?

Sign me up!

Unfortunately not  it’s all these countries (the most common definition of the Middle East):

There’s still plenty of good retro liveries available to use!
