After some time spent in the Great Southern Land, it’s time to return to the United States on the world’s longest non-stop flight. Set a new personal flight time record with this journey, breaking my previous one on the first leg of the trip.

Boarding our flight in Singapore after a 1-day layover. The aircraft we’re on today arrived about an hour and a half earlier from San Francisco as SQ33.
Listening to the distinctive sound of the flaps lowering to the 1+F position for departure. Coincidentally enough, we’re on the same airplane in the same seat that we came down here from New York in.
Full-power Trent 1000 XWB takeoff out of Changi
Cruising over the South China Sea as we head northeast to the States
Some hours later, we’re at 41,000 feet over Helena, Montana
According to our flight tracker, we’re right over Minneapolis
In our descent near Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania
Landing on the north side of JFK as the sun sets
Taxiing into the Terminal 4 ramp
Parked at the same gate we departed from earlier. Same plane, same seat, same gate. An interesting coincidence for sure!
