To round off the US leg of the IF48 tour, it’s time to make our way down to the Land of Birds, New Zealand!

Boarding our ride to Christchurch at around 11PM. We’re booked in Business for this leg, so we had a very nice late buffet dinner at the lounge and were able to do some planespotting, and even take a shower and catch a cocktail before boarding.

Rotating out of SFO.

As we level off at FL330, a delicious dinner of pan-seared halibut with herb butter and creamy mashed potatoes with sesame oil broccoli, served with a chocolate skillet cookie and smoked salmon coleslaw, garlic bread and red wine. One of my best in-flight meals ever; I fell asleep soon after.

About 2h out of Christchurch, breakfast was served after a short step climb to FL400. Last night was indeed very restful- I woke up in the middle of the night to the mid-flight snack service, which was a delicious grilled cheese sandwich with creamy tomato soup. After polishing off supper, I watched the news for a while before dozing off.

For breakfast, I had the brioche souffle with sausages and yogurt, which was worth the hype- it was amazing, light and fluffy and slathered in jam and cream. Absolutely stunning.

Approaching Kiwiland

Descent over South Island

The Kaikoura Peninsula. I’ve been there irl, it’s way more beautiful from the ground imo. This is the old video, it was one of my first YT videos so pls don’t flame :sob:
