No word on a 757-300 rework at this time. The developers currently are working on the A380, but who knows what will come after.

I did a lot of searching and couldn’t find a topic for this, so here it is… The -300 variant of the 757 entered service in 1999 with Condor. The airliner struggle in sales, mostly due to the lack of airline use after the Attacks of September 11, 2001.
