As you are aware, the world is currently dealing with the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) health pandemic. Firstly, our thoughts go out to everyone impacted by this directly. We hope for speedy recovery and health to all. Indeed, this issue is now having an impact on all of us in one way or another.
We understand that this may change the course of the world economy and the aviation industry. The Infinite Flight team works remotely from around the world and are taking, and will continue to take precautions to keep our team safe. To that end, we will closely monitor our real-world events and give updates as we have them. The article below contains up-to-date information on our COVID-19 response as a company:
Everyone is talking about the virus and we know it is part of your daily life and routine now. Having said that, we want to keep the IFC a place for everyone to enjoy discussing Infinite Flight. Here are some rules the community moderators will be enforcing moving forward:
- New topics mentioning new infections, schedule changes, canceled flights, and booking changes (and topics similar) will be closed and unlisted immediately.
- Topics that clearly focus on an airline and the impact Coronavirus has had on it (eg: Lufthansa grounding their A380 fleet) will be allowed and distilled down to one topic per airline. These topics must be confined to the #real-world-aviation category.
- Users may feel free to discuss issues privately via direct message.
- TL3 users may feel free to discuss issues in the #lounge provided they follow the rules of that category.
Please remember to always treat each other with respect, especially when opinions may be especially difficult to read for some at times like this. We’re here as part of a community with an amazing common interest. Let’s be positive and continue to share in the joy and wonder of flight!
