Hello! Welcome to Heraklion in the beautiful country of Greece! Heraklion is a very popular summer destination, so with summer being underway, it was only about time this event happened! Heraklion is the capital of the Crete Island in the Mediterranean Sea. Heraklion in and of itself was founded in 824 A.C. but the ancient city of Knossos had its port area in the city about 4,000 years ago.
Aviation wise, Heraklion is Aegean Airlines’ 3rd hub following Athens Eleftherios Venizelos and Thessaloniki Int’l Airport. Heraklion serves over 50 airlines, most operate seasonal routes there. This is the Heraklion route map (not all routes are included in this fly-out)
