The Grand Canyon is easily one of the most iconic geographical locations in the United States 
and maybe even the entire western hemisphere. Seeing the Grand Canyon is easily one of the most rewarding experiences especially after a long cross country flight. I like to fly from the east coast to the west coast, starting in New York, NY 
and making my way over to Los Angeles, CA 
from seeing the the concrete jungle of NYC, plains of the Midwest, the Rocky Mountains 
the vast deserts 
in the southwest, the Grand Canyon and of course that amazing arrival into LAX never gets old. That’s what I love about “The Transcon” and what better airline to fly with than American Airlines, AA has deployed countless aircraft on this route from some of their iconic Boeing 767-200s, specially configured Airbus A321-200s and the even the all new A321XLR. American is also using their Boeing 777-200ER on the route for some flights and it really brings me back to the B762 era. JFK - LAX is one of those basic routes that somehow never actually bore me.
