The final vertex of that infamous triangle (FINAL FLIGHT)

Bermuda 🇧🇲🏝️ one of the most spectacular places I’ve visited that is still sub 3 hours away by plane from my home in Palm Beach 🏝️🏌️the beaches were nice, the infrastructure was great and it wasn’t too packed. Probably since it shares the name as the Bermuda Triangle 🇧🇲🔺 which is a place you hear about crazy stories from over the years like ship and plane dissappearances. It’s all nonsense as many cruise ships and planes pass over the Bahamas 🇧🇸🏝️ which is part of the triangle and nothing happens to them. With all that said, I was happy to enjoy the final vertex of the triangle I had left to visit as I’ve visited the other 2 before with one of them being REALLY close to me. Bermuda’s geographical location also makes it a great stopping point when flying across the Atlantic like we did while flying from Boca Raton to Tenerife in the Canary Islands! 🇮🇨 Bermuda’s L.F. Wade International Airport is not the biggest but definitely okay since not a whole lot of air traffic comes through and all the passenger flights are spaced out a good amount as well. My flight to Miami 🏝️😎 was the 3rd one to leave and left an hour after the first flight. BDA is home to Bermudair the “flag carrier” of Bermuda I guess well does it really have one? It’s a British overseas territory after all so it would technically be British Airways which is the UKs 🇬🇧☕️ flag carrier but okay I guess. The terminal was fairly quiet and the security check was painless. Our aircraft was already waiting for us since it comes in from MIA late at night and spends the night here and returns home in the morning so let’s check it out!

FLIGHT INFO

Origin: L.F. Wade International 🇧🇲 (TXKF)
Destination: Miami Intl 🇺🇸 (KMIA)
Flight Time: 2:16
Airbus A319-100 (American Airlines)
Server: Expert

Taking us back home to Vice City 🏝️😎 will be N9026C a 9 year old Airbus A319 delivered new to American in January 2015 so it will be carrying the “new American” interior which is truly AMAZING! Unfortunately, we got hit with a pretty big delay due to bad weather in the Miami area mainly on the west coast thanks to Hurricane Debby 🌀 I feel like that part of Florida 🏝️🐊🍊 fits perfectly for the whole hurricane stereotype. The last time we got hit by a BIG hurricane would’ve probably been Andrew back in 1992. There wasn’t much to do here to wait out time so I simply just used sometime to charge my devices and begin the first part of this trip report before it was time to FINALLY board.

All of AAs 3 A319s have the same amount of seats and the same configuration. I already went through the seat details the last time I flew it so I won’t get into it to save time and keep this short. My seat will be 17F which was great like I expected from this interior. More space and padding than the oasis seats and also including personal IFE screens which I don’t need but I’m upset that they removed them especially since United is re installing them. Luckily people didn’t want to make the delay worse as many had connections which are MUCH tighter now so everybody got seated as quick as they could. ATC wanted to get us out fast as possible so we were given priority over everyone and made our way to BDAs runway 12.

As we were already arriving late for sure, the pilot started this take off roll as quickly and possible and for that I thank him! 🫡

My left side seat was a good choice, after take off we flew by the island similar to how we approached but this time as it was during the day, I got a much better view. But now we say are final goodbyes to Bermuda 🇧🇲🏝️ and say hello to the skies!

After a short and uneventful climb to cruise which will be FL380, the crew began the snack service which consisted of biscoff cookies and a choice of beverage which I went with Coke. This tasted great as you would expect and this is ALL we’d be getting for this flight not that it matters as I don’t think loading full meals for EVERYONE is a must on a 2 and a half hour flight but should always be available for purchase, the IFE is plentiful as well like always as I expect from US carriers and their vast amount of destinations I decided to watch some Family Guy to pass the time since there isn’t much to look out the window right now.

The flight went completely uneventful and it was soon time for our descent, it would have us fly directly west pointing directly to the space coast before heading south pointing towards Boca Raton before making another turn to fly directly down the coasts of Broward and Dade before turning base and landing on MIAs RWY 26R yeah, it’s reverse ops.

Out left side seat also gave us a SPECTACULAR view over the coast of Broward County with parts of Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport in view, Bermudair serves FLL from BDA as well but on E175s which is why I just chose AA instead.

Unfortunately, left side views aren’t as good as the right side views when it comes to reverse ops landings at MIA but it wasn’t bad at all, definitely still a worthy sight and now we enjoy the smooth final approach into MIAs RWY 26R!

After a pretty smooth ride down chosen final, welcome back to not only Miami International Airport and the even of this trip but also the end of summer as I officially have to return to school on Monday the 12th well not really, you know I always go out and explore the world even during school season? Well because of that I officially decided to do VIRTUAL school FULL TIME and do it on my own pace so we will see how it goes this year. The flight was great not too much to highlight and I forgot to mention that the crew were the exact same as the previous flight but maybe a bit more annoyed due to the longer delay but still nice when you needed something so 3 stars for them ⭐️⭐️⭐️ it was slightly better with the new American interior but other than that, it’s basically the same as most of the competitors so go with whoever is cheaper in money or miles.

We had a decently long taxi to the gate due to being almost at the other end of concourse D but it still didn’t take too long. Passport control 🛂 wasn’t any more painful as there weren’t many flights here with only a flight from Lima, Peru 🇵🇪 ahead of us. As I didn’t check a bag I was able to exit the airport and soon as I cleared passport control and was soon on my home to relax enjoy the last days of summer before “school” that will be it regarding this flight on American Airlines from Bermuda 🇧🇲🏝️ to Miami 🏝️😎 on their Airbus A319 this trip overall and the summer travel season in general. Stay tuned for a ANOTHER irl trip soon and as always between now and the next time, see you in the sky! 😉👋

The flag carrier is def Bermudair. No Bermudian would consider BA their airlines. Most of us hate them for the outrageous price they charge anyways
