Your impression of me is all wrong. First im in 6 VA’s, im a former head event manager for one of them. VAs only allow expert server flying. This dosent mean i dont use casual server or training server, i do. Its fun to blow off some steam. This does not mean i think im better than anyone else who uses this simulator. If i did, id be on MSFS.
This is an entirely valid point, and I appreciate the contribution to this topic!
Do you really believe that if a fourth server is added, or expert requirements are increased, we’d be limiting the rights of the community who just wants to play?
Yes. In some respects
Look.
Ultra realism right?
Im more than qualified to fly in the new Ultra realistic server. But im not allowed to fly a DC10 in there. When i pay for it. I have to go in a different server so as not to offend anyones realism. That itself is restricting where i can use what im paying for.
If i agreed with the ultra realistic rules and i wanted to do lets say a " blast from the past event " with my VA, im restricted to server choice because my historic aircraft selection is not ultra realistic.
Kai Tak airport would have to be deleted from the ultra realistic server aswell…
As long as the casual server exists, the rights of the “just want to fly” community are ironed out. No consequences on casual at all. Your logic is flawed, because the ability to issue a violation is also limiting server access. The grade system limits server access. By defending your community’s rights, which don’t need protection in the first place, you’re intruding on ours.
If Infinite Flight promises a “realistic experience” on the Expert server, it is also limiting my server choice if I can’t just hop on casual and expect the same.
The realistic community is the one that is lacking a server right now, because unrealistic people feel like they are entitled to all servers in the sim, on account that they’re not “intruding on other people’s flights”.
You should get a violation for serious infractions. I agree. But from what i read, on the new server, you will get one, on a strike system, for flying the wrong plane or extremely tiny infractions that do nothing more than annoy certain people.
Again, you’re making this new server the focus of your attention. Half the posts on the “What annoys you the most” thread are infractions that you would brush off as “minor”. You claim to defend free rights, but you’re directly putting down
“certain people”, as you feel everyone is entitled to all servers. You are limiting realistic people’s server choice by not supporting a realistic server. If you’re against the idea, you can choose to never step foot on that server. No need to antagonize an idea that if implemented will never bother you in any way.
Of course, if you think you’re entitled to all servers, then yes, it would bother if you if you couldn’t access a realistic server.
Wait so are you implying that you are not currently a holder of an Infinite Flight Pro Subscription?
Im not sure how you come to that thought ?
Can you define unrealistic people for me ?
What is it that unrealistic people do that affect your personal experience?
I’m not entirely sure, but it’s because of one of two reasons, and I will let you decide which it is:
a) what you are saying makes no sense whatsoever, has already been addressed SEVERAL TIMES, but it’s just YOU that doesn’t get it, and it shows in your comments
b) because when you say “WHEN I pay for it” it strongly implies that you don’t always have a subscription active, and also implies that you currently don’t have one
Edit: actually, I think that both of these are the case, but that might just be me
What unrealistic people do, that annoys me, is the fact that they’re not realistic. It really is, that simple.
How? What is it that they do or dont do that is unrealistic?
Okay. When im paying for it. Lol
So…you don’t currently have a subscription???
Yes. I have a current subscription. Im flying right now lol
Okay, thank you. Then can you please be a little more careful with how you word your ideas?
Of course. My apologies.
I think 1 important thing is to make sure they know how to get help or ask for help, a lot of these kids have no clue and don’t mean to be this bad, and worst of all, they don’t know how to get help, so maybe a mandatory IFC account for expert will let them know there is a forum as well as pro only discord server, I think this is a good way to suit both worlds without being too harsh on new players, simplicity is what makes this game the best out there
When added with some of the other ideas out there, this could be a really good idea
That may be true, but at the end of the day we just want to have some more realism
