Believe it or not, I actually knew about Skiathos airport in Greece 🇬🇷🏝️ before I knew about Princess Juliana Intl Airport in Sint Maarten 🇸🇽🏝️ and I’ve already been to Sint Maarten 🇸🇽🏝️ back in May where I spent a weekend there but now, it’s time to head to the other airport famous for its low approach over tourists, jet blast etc… today I leave South Florida 🏝️😎 to Skiathos 🇬🇷🏝️ obviously Skiathos is much smaller than Sint Maarten so getting there wasn’t easy thankfully I found a good choice obviously this wasn’t non stop but what I had to do was fly from Miami 🏝️😎 to London Heathrow 🇬🇧🎡 than switch to Gatwick to fly down to Skiathos this will only be about the 1st leg of this trip I’m flying AA like always on their flagship Boeing 777-300ER in Premium Economy as I want to try all the classes of service on their B77W already did flagship first back when I flew from Miami 🏝️😎 to Buenos Aires, Argentina 🇦🇷 as part of my Antarctica 🇦🇶🐧 trip and flagship business ( domestic first ) from Los Angeles 🌴📸 back to Miami 🏝️😎 and now I got premium economy which I’m doing now and regular economy on my flight back home but without further to do, LETS BEGIN!!

After the usual airport stuff you do when flying internationally 🌎 with one exception, the stop at Cafe Versailles since no lounges for me 😭 we arrived at the gate to check out the FABULOUS 🥰😍 Boeing 777-300ER taking us across the pond 🌊 to London 🇬🇧🎡 this is NOT my 1st time going to Europe as back when I was 8 or 9 I flew from MIA 🏝️😎 to Madrid, Spain 🇪🇸 with Iberia on an Airbus A340 still gotta return to Spain 🇪🇸 one day hopefully I’ll go to Barcelona but we will see as I blew LOTS of money 💰 on this Skiathos 🇬🇷🏝️ trip and still planning many trips like that Spirit vs Frontier trip from MIA to ATL and back as well as going to southern neighbors of the old county 🇨🇴 it starts with an E by the way, but enough chit chat, let’s board this bird!
Sadly pre eco is ON THE WING, so views are not going to be the greatest on this flight across the pond 🌊 but at least we get to see this wing do her magic! 🥰 the seat is pretty much a first class seat on any AA domestic flight unless it’s JFK → LAX, SFO or SNA where you get flagship first instead of at least until that’s gone. Still a good seat for a 7 hour flight!

With an on time and beautiful 🤩 departure from the 305 🏝️😎 it’s time to begin flying west, United Kingdom 🇬🇧 HERE I COME!!
Climbed up to FL330 and for the most part, it was dark out and I couldn’t see what was below us, according to live flight we passed over the Bahamas 🇧🇸 and Bermuda 🇧🇲 somewhere I want to go to finally say I’ve been to each corner of the Bermuda Triangle, but anyways an hour and a half after departure, we were served dinner 🍲 and it wasn’t the greatest but not the worst, it was average I’d say 3 stars for dinner ⭐️⭐️⭐️ but as always on red eye flights like this, after dinner it was time for shut eye! 💤😴
Woke up to catch the sunrise 🌅 with breakfast service starting in an hour as we got closer and closer to Europe! More specifically Ireland! 🇮🇪 breakfast was I hate to say it but it was TERRIBLE all we got was a granola bar and that’s it, no coffee ☕️ or even orange juice 🍊 1 star for this ⭐️ but than again, breakfast is ALWAYS bad on planes so what did I expect? Maybe I’m being too harsh on AA 🤍💙❤️ still love American though!
Soon enough, we crossed from Ireland 🇮🇪 to the UK 🇬🇧 and it was time to begin our approach into London Heathrow! Overall fun flight these east coast to Europe flights are very popular especially from New York 🗽🍎 I think that’s actually the busiest route from LHR, it’s to JFK! But now we sit back, relax and enjoy this landing into LHR’s RWY 27R
TOUCHDOWN! Welcome to London’s Heathrow Airport! The busiest of the 6 airports serving London! 🇬🇧🎡 that’s a lot! most of the rest are for budget airlines like Ryanair, Easy Jet and TUI on which I’ll fly the latter to Skiathos! 🇬🇷🏝️ from Gatwick since they don’t serve Heathrow. LHR is also the busiest airport in the UK 🇬🇧 and the 2nd busiest airport in ALL of Europe, number one being Istanbul 🇹🇷

Here we are! disembarked here at LHRs terminal 3 at gate 316 and passport control 🛂 here was similar to the system in Bogotá 🇨🇴 where you would scan your passport and that’s it! No long annoying lines! MIA has to invest into this system as passport control 🛂 at MIA is a MESS! And since my connecting flight to Skiathos 🇬🇷🏝️ is tomorrow at 6am, and it leaves from LGW, I was able to leave LHR and go explore London! 🇬🇧🎡 let’s see what I can check out in the just 17 hours I have here before heading to Greece! 🇬🇷 but as always between now and the next one, see you in the sky! 😉
