The European St Maarten ( FINAL FLIGHT )

Before we begin, I’d like to apologize for posting this quite later than I initially expected of yesterday but I didn’t really have a lot of time yesterday to do BOTH the flight and post this so I only had time for the flight and had decided to do this the next day instead of staying up until like 2-3am posting the pics but anyways let’s get back on track!

Greetings everybody, live from London, UK 🇬🇧 where I’ll be beginning the final leg of my trip back home from Skiathos, Greece 🇬🇷 yesterday after leaving Gatwick I went to explore some last parts of London which I didn’t get to see when I first got here from Miami 🏝️😎 and so even had some extra time to enjoy the beautiful lights from all the buildings here in London and even went to check out the London City airport sadly I didn’t fly out of here to Skiathos even though British Airways does offer LCY → JSI service on their E190 but I’m glad I got to see the unique airport but sadly I don’t live here or nearby for that matter, I live all the way across the Atlantic 🌊 in South Florida 🏝️😎 which I’m happy I live there but I love/hate it but enough of crying about where I live and where I want to, let’s make our way to Heathrow and get this trip started!

Flight Info

Origin: London Heathrow 🇬🇧 ( EGLL )
Destination: Miami Intl 🇺🇸 ( KMIA )
Flight Time: 7:44
Boeing 777-300ER ( American Airlines )
Server: None ( Solo Mode )

After the usual airport stuff, we arrived here at gate 318 to see the in my opinion the most powerful flying piece of metal in existence, our Boeing 777-300ER which would carry us all the way across the Atlantic back to the 305 this afternoon yes the A350 can fly further but these engines are just WAYY better than A350 engines despite me saying this stuff, I’d still LOVE to fly on an A350 heck I’m planning on going to Italy 🇮🇹 soon I don’t know when but probably in October and I’m primarily doing it for ITAs A350 that thing is just a BEAUTY but let’s just board this bird ok?

Well guys I’ve done it, I’ve officially flown every single class of service on AAs flagship aircraft now I guess I don’t have to seek this aircraft often but I still do it’s honestly my favorite aircraft in their fleet I wish Delta one of their main competitors still operated 777s they didn’t operate the 300 nor 300ER but the 200ER and even the LR version they used it to fly from Atlanta to Johannesburg, South Africa 🇿🇦 and even from Los Angeles 🌴📸 to Sydney, Australia 🇦🇺 they were retired back in 2020 in favor for A330neos and A350s thankfully United, another AA competitor also uses the 777-300ER so I gotta seek theirs soon!

Blasting out LHRs RWY 27R, we say goodbye to the United Kingdom 🇬🇧👋 and also way back in Greece 🇬🇷 to an av geek must visit airport now I still got to go to Lukla 🇳🇵one day or Paro 🇧🇹 but I’m too much of a chicken for those we left midday here in the UK about 7am back home!

Climbed up to FL360 for this full daytime transatlantic flight yeah there is NO way I could possibly sleep but what I did to pass the time was play angry birds on the IFE and i got addicted to it fast at this point the flight felt like MIA → CLO which is only 3 hours even though this flight was nearly 8 hours long. I got lunch on this flight same thing as my premium economy flight to LHR from MIA I ranked it average so once again 3 stars for the food ⭐️⭐️⭐️ not that it sucked or anything it just was average it did the job keeping me fed for the flight but thankfully small pre landing snacks were provided before landing in MIA!

I spy with my little eye, Bermuda! 🇧🇲👀 I want to go there SOO bad but the flight from MIA is seasonal and I hate connecting same day personally I just get stressed over it that’s why I picked to have along layover in London so I would avoid this stuff. But anyways, I want to visit mainly to say I’ve been to all 3 vertices of the Bermuda Triangle, Miami, San Juan, Puerto Rico 🇵🇷 and of course Bermuda!

South Florida, well mainly Fort Lauderdale and Miami are now in view! So we prepare for arrival into MIAs RWY 08R overall this was one of the funnest trips I’ve done heck I’d say this was even better than the Antarctica 🇦🇶 one but I still enjoyed both of them equally!

We’re now cleared to land RWY 08R at Miami Intl it’s nice to be back home!

TOUCHDOWN! Welcome back home to Miami International Airport! imo my favorite AA hub but despite that, it’s definitely the WORST in the summer with all of Florida’s storms causing delays and cancellations that’s why I almost never flew last summer and also since I was broke and didn’t have ideas where to go and guess what? I had to sneak the tower into this shot to! 📸👀

Here we are back in MIAs concourse D more specifically gate D30 to see the 777-300ER which brought us all the way from the UK back home, here she is getting ready to head back to LHR before going onwards to LA but anyways it’s time for passport control 🛂 yay 😒 yeah it wasn’t that bad most international flights get in around 5-6pm and all the long hauls form South America get in around same time but 12 hours later so that would be 5-6am but next time I’m here at MIA, believe it or not I’m not flying AA this time I say it’s time to fly cheap! But as always between now and the next time, see you in the sky! 😉
