The community guide to Johnson Creek Campground ⛺️ (3U2)

I recently found a cool little backcountry Airport called Johnson Creek! It is located deep in the mountains of Idaho. Personally it is one of the hardest runways to land at due to the rugged ridge lines all around the airport. These are some videos on how other airmen land in real life. https://youtu.be/xu3XmmIFdLI?si=NEUMNTm7MGYlP4rX

Runway 35 final Approach

Leg Altitude Heading Notes
Downwind 6,000 ft 170° Stay close to the right canyon wall
Base 5,800 ft 080° Watch terrain, keep speed down
Final 5,700 ft → 4,960 ft 350° Full flaps, stabilize at 55–60 KIAS

You know what I actually was looking into this airport a couple months ago! Nice tutorial, I’ll use it when I fly there.
