I only tested this on the Boeing 747-400 and the Boeing 737-700. The 747-400 was fine, but for the short 737-700, the bridge was connected but the box part did not go up. Now as I said, I only tested this on the 747-400 and 737-700 so I don’t know if it’s like that for other planes.

It doesn’t go up because it is level with the rear door at the truck’s “original” height - so it doesn’t need to go “up” to meet the door.
On the 747 for comparison - the truck lift does need to go “up” to meet the height of the rear door.
Actually, this isn’t true.
The back part should rise anyway.

Unfortunately, at the moment the catering truck isn’t able to do that.
