CRUISING THE ATACAMA DESERT AND THE ANDES MOUNTAINS
I was in the mood for a bit of desert flying today and the trusty CRJ-900 was the aircraft of choice. It’s a lovely bit of desert plateau surrounded by the coastline of the Pacific, the Andes mountains and a vast expanse of land into South America and the beautiful Los Flamencos National Reserve very nearby as well.
A good mix and a great scenic flight to take - I could have spend much longer cruising around the area and will certainly be doing some more South American exploration as some point!
Departure: SCPE (San Pedro de Atacama Airport, Chile)
Notes: As always, no hard editing was done to the photos, just some personal preference slight changes to the light and contrast and working with what is available – nothing fake added or taken away.
