The aerodynamic effect of the Boeing 777 series always puzzles me. When it is already in landing form, 150 knots may make it stall, and when 200 knots approach, its elevation angle can reach more than 10 degrees. Are these problems caused by my operation or the aerodynamic effect in the game?
Well, it really depends on your weight and flap configuration. You should be watching the AoA (angle of attack) which is the angle difference between your pitch angle and your fpv (flightpath vector). If it gets too high, the aircraft becomes unstable and stalls.
I’ve never been close to stalling going 150kts, if anything I’ll usually touch down going closer to 130kts, flaps 25 and occasional 30.
Do you use simbrief to calculate load?
Yeah, you might be want to look at your weights and V speeds?
No flaps at 150 will have you stall. Also clean at 200 will give you a high angle of attack, if we talk about being levelled.
Yes, I use it every time I fly to plan the flight and calculate the load.
I think the weight should be appropriate, because it always happens when ILS approaches, and I use simbrief to calculate it. Maybe it’s my operating mistake?
I just did a quick landing to test in solo and with my weight being on or around MLW (still yellow text but just on) I still comfortably landed at 140kts, flaps 30, no sign of stalling.
So I don’t know.
