International Air Traffic Controller Day
This is not going to ha a long post, but it’s important. I just wanted to put this thread out there to say thank you to all the IFATC controllers, as well as all the real controllers every day to keep us safe in the air. Thank you, and you are the reason why airplanes are able to fly safely every day!
Official Holliday Description
The International Day of the Air Traffic Controller, celebrated October 20th each year, marks the anniversary of IFATCA (International Federation of Air Traffic Controllers’ Associations), which was founded on the 20th October 1961. The day also celebrates all the men and women around the world who work to help make air travel the safest possible mode of transport. Last year we were 3.5 billion passengers that actually put our security and our “life in the sky” in their hands.
