The first Boeing 737 MAX ever in Thai Vietjet as well as VietJet Air Group, regristered as HS-VZA, has been delivered and arrived at Bangkok at 1930Z on Nov 22 2025. This marks a new era for Thai VietJet, with more than 50 Boeing 737 MAX aircraft already ordered and scheduled for delivery in the coming years. Thai VietJet is also aiming to become a major airline in the Thai market. This is the first time the airline will receive factory-new aircraft, instead of previously receiving older A320 and A321 jets transferred from its parent company, VietJet Air.

its kinda weird to fly it through anchorage, I thought it’d be better to do Seattle-Hawaii-Guam-Manila-Bangkok

Normally their Trans-Pacific routes for deluvrry flights to Asia is routed through Anchorage as the the headwinds (jetstreams) are too high. So they are fighting headwinds which reduces speed and max distance. At the same time PANC has a good maintenance and service opportunities if something would happen on a delivery flight! And the routing would be Anchorage-Sapporo and then the rest is easy from Japan to Thailand.
