So for the past 4 flights in SolCal, I have had a glitch with the map/terrain warning system. I’m flying at 12 thousand feet. All of the sudden I get terrain warnings that aren’t correct. Usually they have straight edges (see photos below) I think that this should be fixed asap.
just reset it
turn it off and then on
Did that still happens
It usually fixes after a few seconds.
It stays like this for the whole, flight
Try turning “Map Terrain” off, and then on again, then see if it works.
For the last time IT DOESNT HELP THE PROBLEM
No need to use all those caps. People are trying to help out.
I’m not sure how to solve this.
Maybe if u actually read the comments above I wouldn’t capitalize
Nobody else said what I said though…
He told you to reset the “Show Terrain Warning” not “Show Terrain”…
Anyways, try this.
Step 1: Press “Hide Terrain Warning”
Step 2: Press “Hide Terrain”
Step 3: Wait 10 seconds.
Step 4: Press “Show Terrain” first, THEN press “Show Terrain Warning” and tell me if it works.
Doesn’t work
I have this problem to, usually after I turn the terrain warning on and off after I’m at cruise it fixes. But this happened after the 787 update
I have it also… I’ve tried resetting it and all that.
Try turning it off, zoom out so the whole map is visible, and then turn it on again. Usually works when I fly. :)
