Technical Issues Encountered on IF 25.1.1

Device: Apple iPad Pro
Operating System: iPadOS 18.4.1
Infinite Flight Version: 25.1.1

Flight 1: EGKK–LIFR | Aircraft: Airbus A350-900 | Date: 10 May 2025

  1. ATC Interface Anomalies
During ATC communications, my aircraft’s callsign was consistently replaced with the ATC facility name. Examples include:
    “Rome Centre, say approach request”
    “Rome Centre, radar contact”
“Rome Centre, Rome Centre with you at FLXXX”

  2. Audio Overlap Post-Landing
After landing at LIFR and receiving taxi instructions (“Turn right and contact ground on the taxiway”), the ATIS broadcast unexpectedly played concurrently with active ATC transmissions.

  3. Map Display Inaccuracy
On the live map, IAS for all aircraft was shown as “2”, while GS and Mach number displayed correctly.

  4. Replay System – Gear Visualisation
In replay mode, landing gear appeared to remain retracted (gear doors closed), despite normal gear extension during the actual flight.

  5. Replay System – Camera Instability
Significant instability was observed in camera views during replay, making the viewing experience erratic and difficult to follow.

Flight 2: EGLL–LFPG | Aircraft: Boeing 777-300ER | Date: 05 May 2025

  1. Replay Visual Bug – Door Open
During replay review of the landing phase, the L1 door appeared open, which was not the case during actual flight operations.

Flight 3: EGLL–EGLL | Aircraft: Airbus A380 | Date: 05 May 2025

  1. Audio Loss
All in-sim audio ceased as soon as the flight started. The device was not muted, volume settings were at maximum, no Bluetooth device was connected, and both ATC and general sound sliders were active. IF restart resolved the issue.

General Observations:

  1. Wind Behaviour on Final Approach
Unnatural and erratic wind speed fluctuations were observed during final approach for some flights. Wind values appeared to oscillate rapidly from calm to maximum intensity, creating highly unstable approach conditions. This required multiple go-arounds or TOGA applications to recover.

Recommendation:
If helpful, I am willing to provide screen recordings of affected sessions (with tap indicators enabled) to illustrate these issues. However, please note that several discrepancies are not visible or are inconsistently reproduced during replay due to the current limitations in the replay system.

Apologies for inconsistent formatting if any, this is my first post.

Regards,
HighFly

I’m gonna start with the things I know have solutions:

These replay problems are a known issue, and should get fixed in the upcoming hotfix (later this week).

When this happens, try activating Siri and then clicking back into the sim. That works almost 100% of the time from what I’ve heard.

This is actually pretty normal, this is the sim’s way of making gusts of wind happen, which can often change the windspeed by more than 10 knots in a very quick manner. As you noticed, it definitely has serious affects on the aircraft, and this situation is a common cause of go-arounds IRL.

I’m not sure about the Map display or your ATC issues, those might need a solution from someone who is more tech savy. But I pray this helps for your other issues!

This is a known issue if you are technically outside of the airspace range but tuned into the frequency.

I believe this is a known problem with aircraft that are “in the background”.

Not sure about the ATIS audio overlap tbh - that’s a strange one which I haven’t heard of before.

The goal is early this week, so within the next couple of days.

I am assuming you meant that the communicating aircraft is outside the range but tuned into the frequency hence the issue? I can hear the other communications as intended but every once in a while the aircraft name is the centre’s name.

Hmm. I used the start flight feature, once I was on the high speed taxiway I could hear the mission brief, ATIS and ATC communication. Maybe was a one off anomaly but if I face this issue again I’ll try my level best to screen record and share on the forum.

Hi @Petre2026!

Noted! Will keep an eye out for the update.

If I experience the issue, will definitely try the solution and revert whether it fixed it for me or not.

Funnily I thought of the same, it’s basically getting hit in the face with a “gust” scenario.

The only reason why I raised it was because I wanted clarity as to whether is it my A/T going berserk from N1 0% to N1 Max% to 0% like the DJ creating drops and my IAS fluctuates between 140 to 200 knots within split-seconds for a particular reason or is it a bug. Seems like a feature so I’ll continue to disable A/T and continue my approach until minimums and decide continue or go around there.

Thanks for the assistance and guidance!
