Prior to the release of the TBM-930, I conducted a poll with the community asking whether they would rather have two existing airliners reworked or ten new GA aircraft added. A surprising 60% of voters said they would rather have two existing airliners reworked. See the poll below:
It was pointed out to me that the poll was conducted before the TBM release, so people hadn’t yet had a chance to see how amazing the TBM and other GA aircraft are to fly. Now, it’s been more that two weeks since the TBM was released, so people will have had a chance to form their own opinions about it. I am re-posting the poll and a few others to see if people’s opinions of GA aircraft have changed since the release of the TBM. Please answer honestly so we can have the most accurate results!
we have almost all the airlines in the sim…( just some liveries and rework actions should be apply to them ) but more G.A will bring more diversity to the pilot.
Especially the missing manufactors like Piper, beechcraft, Grumman could be the welcome to the fleet
Even in the cessna section, there are so many other planes can be added from other single engines to jet aircrafts…
there is much more Potential in G.A than airlines aircrafts
IMO, the A330/340, 757, C17 are in dire need of rework and should be prioritized above any new planes. After that, though, it would be nice to see a couple more GA aircraft.
We have modern airliners but we have few to almost none of the classics such as:
The Boeing 707
The Boeing 737-200
The Airbus a300
The Concorde
The McDonnell Douglas MD-80 series/ DC-9s
And don’t forget the the Dc-3 and other classic props.
I feel like we should get these airliners in IF before moving on onto other categories such as GA.
It’s probably much more difficult for FDS to get flight data on aircraft that don’t fly anymore. They also seem to be less popular than modern aircraft on the IFC, so that could be the reason.
