Taxiway routes for players

So, I know that on ATC mode you can assign a taxiway route for the plane to take but what if this feature can also be for free mode players to use so before you’re ready to taxi you can choose your own route if ATC is not active at the airport you are at or if the airport is active and control sees taxi at your own discretion then you can create your own route and this will also can work after you land to your gate or GA parking ramp.

What’s the point of this? We can pretty much taxi on our own in TS so it wouldn’t really be necessary whether if we chose our own route before we’re ready to taxi. I feel like this should be optional

Also, you don’t always know what runway you will be assigned. Creating your own taxi route doesn’t rlly make sense since it might not even be used. Either way, as a controller, when I send a pilot to the runway it gives you the most efficient route. Sure if has flaws but there isn’t really anything wrong with our current system for taxiing.

So my question is: why didn’t Training server also implement a feature where ATC assign you a taxiway route? My guess is because of how training server is because the ATC aren’ as strict on TS than on ES. Correct me if I’m wrong

You can do this in training server, the atc are not trained on training server so they probably don’t know about it/how to use it lol

I’m just saying that this could be an option to do it yourself if you were at a big airport like KORD and it can be the same way how you would choose a approach vector to the runway you want to land on

Even in the vector situation you won’t alwyas be given the requested runway, but I get what you’re saying.

I’m saying this option for if atc is not active

When atc isn’t active then you can pretty much taxi any where. That why I didn’t understand the feature rq.

Exactly what I was thinking too

Atc can assign a route on TS ive done this multiple times

I never realize that was a thing now. I hadn’t been paying attention tho but I was told only some airports like LAX have it and not all of them.

its that people like me dont know layout of some new airport thats really confusing and if the ATC is not available we have to open the whole map and and again to see which taxi way to turn. So, yeah voted cuz I think its useful. we can just open the minimap and see the magenta guide lines

@Wa_Pii didn’t mean to send the above message, meant to save as draft lol. Anyway, if you wanted to navigate easier, you can add the map on screen inside the cockpit. Go to systems → interface → hud map. It’ll pop up on the corner of your screen. I usually use that so I don’t have to switch to the on screen map all the time. You can also have it follow your aircraft by clicking the circle near the zoom in/out options .

I know bro but how easy would it be if a magenta line guided you which taxi way to turn
