Taxiway Overflight Air Canada Flight 759

G’day I don’t understand how you manage to do this but here’s the the report from the NTSB: NTSB Report

Please comment if you know how you manage to do it but thank goodness no one got injured.

Reminds me of casual server, I hope I’m not being rude about the incident as this is my own opinion about the casual server.

Is this topic about the release of the report? Or about people doing this on casual?

The incident not casual.

Ok. Great. Any way you could add a bit more to it about the incident?

Okay I will add a link to some ATC recordings

If the Air Canada plane did land on top of the other aircraft(s), this had the potential to become the worst aircraft disaster in history, and I’m very serious.

Basically, the pilot mistakes the nav lights and beacon lights of a plane for runway lights.

Was this recorded from the training server?

If I remember correctly on the report they made some significant progress by changing the rules at Sam Francisco airport, Air Canada etc so hopefully it should be harder at this airport in particular to make such mistakes

They were assigned to land on 28R, and 28L was closed so the lights were off. It sounds like that made them mistake 28R for 28L and Charlie for 28R. It was a failure by the pilots to take note of the NOTAMS in place at the airport. I still don’t understand how you make that mistake (white and yellow lights vs blue and green) but clearly the mistake was made, and the foundation for the mistake was there by failing to read the NOTAMS.
