TAROM is the flag carrier and oldest operating airline of Romania. Headquartered in Otopeni, near Bucharest, the airline operates its main hub at Henri Coandă International Airport. TAROM serves destinations across Europe and the Middle East and has been a member of the SkyTeam alliance since 2010. The airline is owned by the Romanian Government and traces its origins to 1920, making it one of the oldest airlines in Europe. Since the 2020s, TAROM has undergone a restructuring programme that included fleet renewal and operational reforms aimed at improving its financial performance. The airline has just taking the delivery of its first 737 Max 8 at the time of writing this.
Why should it be added?
It offers us flight routes from a relatively small and obscure airline, about which not a lot of people know. Also Romania needs better representation in the simulator. It will enable a lot of new and interesting trans-european routes and bring more attention to romanian airports within the simulator.
