Let’s gooo

Just imagine how wonderful it will be to fly from Galeão (SBGL) to Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport (LFPG) in this iconic aircraft with this vibrant livery!
Coming back to the engine point raised earlier in the thread: with only the CF6 and the Rolls-Royce modelled in the sim, PT-MVL seems to be the one registration that actually fits, since it paired GE engines with the short tail. What makes it even more interesting is that it was also among the last airframes flying the old colours before the fleet was wound down, so a single aircraft would cover both the technical limitation and the more nostalgic version of the livery.
Would people here rather see PT-MVL in the older scheme, or the later one? Either way, the A330-200 is one of the very few types where a TAM request is still possible at all, which feels like a good reason not to let this one sink.
I think we have some tall tail liveries (not 100% certain on that though), so MVF, MVG, MVH and MVK should also be possible (although MVG had an off-standard tail livery, so I wouldn’t like it to be the chosen one).
I’d absolutely love if the old livery was also included, but I doubt it’ll happen.
Good to know, that makes things far less restrictive than I had assumed. Five GE airframes instead of a single one is a much healthier starting point, and I agree that MVG would be the least appealing of them with that tail.
As for the old livery, I share the pessimism, but it would be a lovely surprise if it came along. Even the standard scheme on its own would already be a fantastic addition.
Thank you for all the effort you have put into this request, by the way. The research behind the opening post, the engine and tail breakdown, the photos, all of it goes well beyond what these threads usually get, and it is the reason the topic is still alive. Hopefully it pays off.
Yes! It will be an incredible tribute to an aircraft that made history in Brazil and South America, opening the way for what is today the largest airline in the region. TAM operated a large fleet of 22 Airbus A330-200 throughout its history, opening routes and supplying the hole that the historic Varig left when it closed. Interestingly, as they commented, TAM operated with the three engine options, the first being delivered (PT-MVA to PT-MVE) and the last (PT-MVM to PT-MVV) with PW4000 engines, the “intermediate” (PT-MVF to PT-MVL) with GE CF6 engines, and two that were leased by Gulf Air at the beginning of the operation (PT-MSD and PT-MSE) with Rolls Royce Trent 700 engines, thus not being an obstacle to external issues in relation to a type of motorization. It will be amazing to see the beautiful The Magic Red Carpet in Infinite Flight!
The TAM A330-200 would be an amazing addition to Infinite Flight. ![]()

TAM received its first A330-200s, PT-MVA and PT-MVB, in 1998, becoming the first airline in Latin America to order the type. The A330 also marked a major milestone for Brazilian aviation as the first fly-by-wire aircraft operated by a Brazilian airline.
It quickly became a symbol of TAM’s international expansion, flying routes such as São Paulo–Miami, Paris, London, Madrid and New York.
And, of course, the classic TAM details like “The Magic Red Carpet” make it even more iconic. The “Orgulho de ser Brasileira
” inscription was a special livery detail on one aircraft, which would also be fantastic to see recreated.
This aircraft represents an important chapter of Brazilian aviation history. Seeing the classic TAM A330 back in the skies of Infinite Flight would be incredible! ![]()

Ngl I for some reason have taken a large liking for TAM and GOL. Well I know why but the reason is kind of weird. ![]()
That’s the Brazilian charm, my friend! TAM’s vibrant red and GOL’s iconic orange are enough to leave anyone mesmerized!

@AvioesEJogos I think that’s why the IF team hesitates to add this wonderful livery to IF, they’re afraid of falling in love with it. ![]()
Don’t give up.
