The S55s and S58s still do fly to this day! The -55s are my favorite machine!

Most of the S-55s in the US now live in Washington and I am good friends with the owner, he isn’t selling them for a very long time lol
yea that does look like it is very costly to opperate

I think they’re about 600$ an hour to run at the moment, most are old radials with a few turbine engines
wow well that’s about the price of a round trip ticket for one person from Frankfurt to where I live, Colorado on delta
