Does anyone have real-world take off procedures from VNLK?
From what I can gather, pilots tend to circle back towards the wall of VNLK, making a line up down Runway 24 to give themselves as much runway length as possible. It also looks like they apply full throttle while braked to test the engines, and then release the break for a STOL takeoff. Is this correct?
Can’t say anything about Lukla but setting takeoff/increased engine power while the brakes are still set is often used at very short runways as the engines need time to spool up and get to takeoff power.
