Yesterday was my last day of freedom before the northern beaches of Sydney were locked down. So me and my dad decided to take a drive to the airport and see some planes before we’re not allowed out.
Fiji is currently been hit by a cyclone so Fiji had flown and parked its A350 fleet and 2 A330-200s at Sydney until the storm has past.
When I was only 5 minutes from the airport I had a look at FR24 to see the arrivals and an Olympus 757 appeared. Only frustration though is that I was prepared for the wrong runway.
In Australia only a few Virgin Aus 737s have the split scimitar winglets so it’s always a nice catch when you see them and especially when there is vortices forming on the flaps.
Time for the A350s!
A Cathay A350-1000 blasting water away
Singapore A350-900 climbing out of a drizzly Sydney
Lucky last an Air China bathing in the refreshing rain
The spotting trip was drizzly and depressing but the variety of airlines this arvo was interesting and made for a nice start to lock down
