That was the case before the new engine 
now they’re adding more special liveries than before and all the icons are available in the official Swiss website for them to download and recreate the livery like we did with our banners in LXVA

As LX staff we are very disappointed with this 
… But maybe we will get it on next update (and why not removing United livery tho, that aircraft doesn’t even exist)

I feel there may be a bit of a bias towards US airlines—just my opinion. For example, the Swiss Wanderlust livery was rejected because it’s considered a “special livery,” yet Infinite Flight has several different Southwest 737 liveries. I’m just trying to understand where the line is drawn, because from the outside the criteria seem a bit inconsistent.

Special liveries are up to devs. You can request Sky Team and or OneWorld liveries.
You read my mind! We’re also missing Cathay Pacific’s special liveries, like the 80th Anniversary livery on the 777 and the Retro livery on the A350-900.
You are right, IF needs to really start thinking of open source liveries, heck I’ll pay someone in the real world to put a livery for IF.
