After spending a night in Miami, it was time for us to head to the airport. So Aunty, Uncle and I said goodbye to Grandma and Aunty Sisi before we hopped in the cab π and went to the airport. Arriving to the airport and getting inside the airport, we got our boarding passes and checked our baggage 𧳠for us to pick up at St. Louis airport. Then we made our way through Checkpoint 3 and proceeded through the trail right by Gate D31 to get from Concourse D to Concourse E. Then here we are at Gate E10 MIA airport, the Central Terminal where our AA B777 will be taking us to Dallas Fort Worth this afternoon. Welcome aboard American Airlines Flight 1287 service to Dallas Fort Worth let the flight begin.
After boarding, we pushed back out of Gate E10, watched the safety video, started up the engines, and now here we are taxiing our way to RWY 8R for takeoff out of MIA airport
In preparation for takeoff after a couple of minutes taxiing, we hopped on RWY 8R, lined up and here we go we takeoff
And off we go as we left the ground RWY 8R from MIA airport, we are off to Dallas Fort Worth. Goodbye 305 Miami π. Weβll c ya next time.
After we took off, we banked to our left, flying along the South Florida coastline, before banking to our left again, heading west for Dallas, flying over Pembroke Park. And yes, we flew the beaches ποΈ as we banked left after takeoff. Those beaches looked beautiful donβt it. Heck yeah, and thus we went there that Sunday before we left to Nigeria π³π¬ .
Here we are as we cruised at FL380 over the Delta National Wildlife Refuge, which is a couple of miles from New Orleans Louisiana πΊπΈ, whilst we flew over the Gulf of Mexico π . During cruise, the flight attendants served as mini pretzels π₯¨ that has the AA Hub airport code names printed at the bottom right of the bag, with a choice of drinks π₯€ . So I got the red bag mini pretzels π₯¨ that says DCA, and a cup of Apple Juice π§ , Aunty Ini got the yellow bag mini pretzels π₯¨ that said DFW, which is where we were heading to with a cup of Coca Cola π₯€ , no ice π§ , and Uncle Offiong got the teal bag mini pretzels π₯¨ that says PHX, and a cup of Water π§ . After the snacking service, trash ποΈ was collected. Then I listened to music π΅π±π§and chewed bubblegum for the remainder of the flight.
Then we began our descent, as we flew over Wilmer Texas πΊπΈ, before we turned left base aiming for RWY 17C DFW airport. And yep, itβs time for us to prepare for landing, meaning all electronic devices are to be put away, seatbacks in the upright position, and tray tables our up, and most importantly, personal items are put under the seat in front of us.
And here we go, on short final RWY 17C, flying over Coppell, before touching down into Dallas Fort Worth
After we landed, we vacated the runway, crossed RWY 17R, and here we are taxiing to Gate A23 for arrival to DFW.
And ladies and gentlemen, welcome to Dallas Fort Worth International Airport as we had arrived to Gate A23 DFW airport. So time for us to grab our belongings, exit the plane, and hop on the DFW Skylink to head to Gate C29 for our final flight to St. Louis on the AA B737-800 which will be in part 2 of our return trip. Oh and btw, our baggage 𧳠will be transferred to our next flight, for our flight to St. Louis, and hopefully π€ we should be able to claim our baggage once we get to St. Louis.
And that completes the Miami to Dallas Fort Worth flight. Now time for our 1hr 55min layover at Dallas Fort Worth before we head on back to St. Louis. So stay tuned for that and I hope you enjoyed this flight. So be safe and see ya in the skies.
