Summer 2021 Spotting

As summer comes to an end, I thought I would share a few favorite pictures I’ve taken throughout the last few months around the US!

Delta 767-300 | ANC

Starting out with a shot from Anchorage! One of the coolest airports for spotting and definitely worth visiting, ANC offers great views of their runways and with sunlight for up to 20 hours a day it’s almost impossible not to get some great pictures

Alaska 737-700 | SEA

The lifeline of many of their Alaskan services, Alaska 737-700s are pretty rare in the mainland US besides Seattle, so it’s pretty cool to see them.

jetBlue A320 | EWR

N563JB, named “Blue Chip” arriving on EWR’s runway 22R from Montego Bay

United 757-200 | ANC

Probably one of my favorite shots ever, N57111 on a slow climb from Anchorage headed to New York. This flight took off at 9 PM, which would normally be too late, but since Alaska is quite far North, it was the perfect time for golden hour 🌞

Delta 767-400 | LAX

One of only 37 764s built touching down on 24R at LAX! This is one of my favorite places to spot (only during summer due to lighting)

FedEx 777-200F | ANC

After using less than half the runway, this FedEx 777 made a relatively steep climb off of runway 33 headed to South Korea!

Hawaiian A321neo | SJC

Only for a couple of months in summer, due to longer days, Hawaiian’s A321neo service from Honolulu arrives in golden hour. Here’s N209HA on short final for 30L!

United 757-200 | ANC

And to end the topic, another United 757, this time wearing the “Her Art Here SF” scheme. With clouds covering most of the sunlight the whole day, I almost didn’t go to see this bird. The sun peeked out for a few minutes though and (I think), it was worth it!

Alaska summer never disappoints! It’s one thing I’ll miss since I’m in Dallas now.

Yep! An 11 pm sunset definitely has its benefits
