It’s a nice little regional flight today as we travel the Indonesian area. We departed Minangkabau International Airport, Sumatra, Indonesia (PDG: WIEE) bound for Soekarno–Hatta International Airport, Jakarta, Indonesia (CGK: WIII).
It will be a Sriwijaya Air operated Boeing 737-9LFER taking us on this interesting little internal journey as we head over the Indonesian mountains and over to the capital, Jakarta on flight SJ23. We have 126 people on board today, mostly Indonesian nationals, some returning home after a holiday in Sumatra and a few commuting into Jakarta for the day before returning home later on SJ22. Powering us to 35,00 feet today will be a strong pair of CFM International CFM56-7BE engines taking this well used 737 into the skies once more.
Flying conditions were excellent today, albeit a bit foggy with a cheeky little tailwind to help with fuel economy and no other traffic at either airport on the expert server. We touched down on runway 27L before finding a parking spot. A quick turnaround will see this aircraft bound for Fatmawati Soekarno International Airport. A proper workhorse.
